Do you service spas on their own, or only with a pool?

Both. If your spa is attached to the pool, it gets handled on the same visit. If it is a standalone hot tub, we can take care of it on its own.

Why does spa water go off faster than pool water?

A spa holds a small amount of water, runs hot, and gets used by several people at once. Heat burns through sanitizer faster, and every soak adds to the load. The chemistry can move in days instead of weeks, which is why a set schedule matters more for a spa than almost anything else in the backyard.

What is included in spa service?

Skimming, brushing the shell and the seats, emptying the basket, testing the water and balancing it, with the chemicals included. Then a photo report by text.

My spa water is cloudy or foamy. Can you fix it?

Usually, yes. Cloudy or foamy spa water is almost always chemistry or a loaded filter. We look at both and tell you what it needs. If the water is too far gone to rebalance, we tell you that too.

Do you clean spa filters?

Yes. Spa cartridges load faster than pool filters because of the heat and the heavier use. See our filter cleans page for how that works.

How much does spa service cost?

It depends on the spa and whether it is serviced with a pool or on its own, so we price it at a free consultation rather than guessing over the phone.

Why Spa Water Needs a Weekly Hand

Pool water gives you a little room for error. Spa water does not. The heat speeds up every reaction, the volume is small, and the jets whip air through it constantly. Add our very hard water, which leaves scale on the shell and the jets, and the dust the wind carries in, and a spa that is left alone for two weeks is usually a spa you do not want to get into.

Balanced spa water is comfortable on skin and eyes and does not smell like a locker room. That comes from the whole picture being right, not from dumping in more sanitizer. We test the water every visit and adjust only what it needs.
